Tips and Tricks

At GrandpaTellMe.com our goal is to make it easy and fun for people to record and share history.  We provide the site backup feature on a USB thumb-drive to help you preserve your data in a format that is easy to use.  Here are some tips to help keep your data safe.

  1. Order a site backup at least once a year.  Regular backups provide security and peace of mind.  GrandpaTellMe.com is committed to keeping your data safe and secure so we perform regular system backups.  For an even greater measure of security order a site backup at least once a year.

  2. Keep at least two copies of your backup just in case.  When you receive your site backup, make a copy by loading it onto your computer, or onto another thumb-drive.  You might even consider ordering several backups and giving them as gifts to other members of your site.  Keep one copy in a safe place and use the other copy for scrapbook projects, etc.
